We are looking for an experienced 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 to support and lead complex mechanical engineering and design activities within an automotive technology environment.

This is a senior specialist role for someone who can take ownership of complex engineering challenges, influence technical decisions, and contribute beyond their immediate area.

𝗞𝗘𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦

🔹 Design technical solutions based on function, geometry, volume, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements

🔹 Lead and support mechanical design engineering activities

🔹 Take an active role in engineering deliveries and complex projects

🔹 Integrate and review technical deliveries from different teams

🔹 Ensure quality, readiness and compliance before release

🔹 Ensure designs meet business targets and requirements

🔹 Provide technical input to product and system roadmaps

🔹 Use component history and technical knowledge to influence project prerequisites

🔹 Contribute to innovation and business development

🔹 Build and maintain technical networks across the organization

🔹 Develop relationships with universities and external institutes

🔹 Lead complex group tasks and support the development of team members

🔹 Act as a mentor, coach, and technical role model

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥

8+ years of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience

Strong expertise in mechanical design and engineering

Proven ability to lead complex engineering activities

Broad technical knowledge combined with specialist expertise

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to influence technical decisions across an organization

Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams

Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills

Ability to understand both detailed engineering challenges and the wider business perspective
